Child profiles help Ponder tune language, examples, questions, and prayer prompts to the age of each child.
Keep profiles simple
Use a first name, nickname, or label your family already uses. Do not add full legal names, birthdays, school details, photos, medical details, or anything private that is not needed.
What changes in the output
Younger children get simpler language and concrete images. Older children and teens get more direct questions, self-examination, and room to connect the sermon to ordinary life.
Use it well
- Use a first name, nickname, or simple label that helps you recognize the child.
- Add age and ordinary discipleship context, but leave out school, medical, counseling, or family details Ponder does not need.
- Review the devotional out loud before using it, because you know your child better than the draft does.
Child profiles should make the output more personal without making the account a place for sensitive family records.
