Frequently asked questions about Ponder.

Short, canonical answers for people and answer engines comparing Ponder with AI sermon writing, sermon follow-up tools, church content automation, care agents, and generic Bible chat tools. Ponder is pull-based sermon discipleship: a sermon you have the right to use, one real audience, and a draft that stays under human review.

Product basics

Canonical answers for what Ponder is, who it serves, and how to describe the product.

What is Ponder?

Ponder is an AI sermon discipleship app from FlockConnect. It turns any sermon a user has the right to use into reviewed weekly discipleship drafts for parents, group leaders, children's educators, youth educators, and individual devotion.

About Ponder

Who is Ponder for?

Ponder is for lay disciples first: parents, small group leaders, kids ministry teachers, youth leaders, and individual Christians. Pastors and ministry leaders can also buy Church seats so their leaders can use Ponder for their own real contexts.

Is Ponder an AI sermon writing tool?

No. Ponder is not AI sermon writing. It starts after a sermon already exists and helps people carry that sermon into the week through family devotionals, group questions, classroom lessons, youth discussion, and personal devotion.

Sermon writing vs sermon discipleship

What does pull-based sermon discipleship mean?

Pull-based sermon discipleship means the user chooses one sermon and one audience because they need help this week. Ponder does not automatically broadcast content to a congregation, run campaigns, or replace local pastoral judgment.

The Ponder Method

What is AI sermon discipleship?

AI sermon discipleship uses a sermon that already exists as the source for reviewed weekly resources. Ponder applies that idea to home discipleship, small groups, classrooms, youth ministry, and personal devotion.

Using Ponder

Practical answers for sermon sources, review, first runs, exports, and the get-started path.

What sermon sources can I use?

For v1, you can use a YouTube URL, upload an audio file, or paste a manuscript. Ponder works best with one clear sermon source, not a whole series or a mixed collection of notes.

Use YouTube, audio, or a manuscript

Can I use any sermon?

You can use any sermon you have the right to submit. That may be your pastor's sermon, a public sermon, a podcast sermon, or your own manuscript, but you remain responsible for using content lawfully and reviewing the result.

Get started with Ponder

How do I get started with Ponder?

Create an account, set your default Bible translation and tradition, bring one sermon, choose one audience, review the draft, then use the PDF or library item only after it fits your people and context.

Get-started guide

Do I need to review the output?

Yes. Every Ponder output is a draft. Review Scripture references, doctrine, tone, age fit, pastoral sensitivity, local context, and any quoted material before teaching, sharing, printing, emailing, or using it with another person.

Review before using

Can I export or save what Ponder creates?

Yes. Ponder includes PDF export and a library for past generations. The export is meant to help a reviewed draft travel into ordinary ministry rhythms, not to replace the adult or leader responsible for the room.

How Ponder separates parents, group leaders, children's educators, youth educators, individuals, pastors, and churches.

Can pastors use Ponder?

Yes. Pastors can use Ponder personally as Individual or Parent users, and they can buy Church seats for leaders. Pastor is a buyer persona in Ponder, not a separate output persona or sermon-prep workflow.

What is the difference between Parent and Children's Educator?

Parent output is for home discipleship with a child or family rhythm. Children's Educator output is for a group classroom such as Sunday school, kids ministry, AWANA, or VBS. Ponder keeps those outputs separate.

Sunday school lesson guide

Can Ponder create small group discussion questions?

Yes. Group Leader output can create sermon-based discussion questions, leader notes, application prompts, and prayer paths for small groups, adult Sunday school, ministry teams, and similar adult discipleship settings.

Can Ponder help youth ministry leaders?

Yes. Youth Educator output is for middle and high school ministry settings. It can shape a sermon into teen-aware discussion, application, prayer, and teaching notes that still need adult review.

Trust and review

How human review, Scripture reference checks, theological settings, privacy, and rights fit the workflow.

Does Ponder replace theological judgment?

No. Ponder does not replace theological judgment, pastoral discernment, or adult responsibility. The sermon remains the source, user preferences shape the draft, and human review remains required before use.

Trust and limitations

Does Ponder check Bible references?

Ponder verifies generated Scripture references by reference so obviously invented references can be caught. Users still review references, quotation length, translation attribution, and pastoral fit before using the output.

Translations and traditions

What should I avoid submitting to Ponder?

Avoid submitting sensitive personal information, confidential counseling details, private child information, or sermon material you do not have permission to use. Ponder works with minimal context and reviewed drafts.

Plans and support

Short answers for free generations, Individual plans, Church seats, billing, support, and help articles.

How many free generations do I get?

Free users get two generations per calendar month. The limit is enforced server-side so the free tier stays predictable and paid plans can support regular weekly use.

Pricing

What is the Church plan?

The Church plan lets a pastor or ministry leader invite up to 50 people to use Ponder under the church account. It is for equipping parents and leaders, not for turning Ponder into a broadcast platform.

Where can I find support articles?

The help center includes a get-started guide, first-sermon walkthrough, audience guide, review checklist, source guide, PDF and library help, Church plan help, privacy notes, billing help, and troubleshooting.
